The Delegates unanimously agreed to make Cécile Deniard an honorary member of CEATL for her invaluable contribution to making our organisation what it is today. With passion and dedication, Cécile has worked tirelessly, first in the Authors’ Rights Working Group, then on creating and organising the European Conference on Literary Translation at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. She is now stepping down to pursue other projects, but she will be missed a lot at CEATL.

CEATL is happy to welcome two new members organisations this year:

  • From Greece, PEEMPIP (https://peempip NULL.gr/) – the Panhellenic Association of Professional Translators Graduates of the Ionian University;
  • From Latvia, LRS (https://rakstnieciba NULL.lv/) – the Latvian Writers’ Union.

CEATL now comprises 38 associations from 30 countries.

The AGM was organised and hosted by our Polish member association, STL (https://stl NULL.org NULL.pl/). Huge thanks to its delegates and volunteers for putting together this event and to the Polish Book Institute (https://instytutksiazki NULL.pl/en/) for its support.

STL delegates Justyna Czechowska and Rafał Lisowski stepped down after organising this wonderful AGM and we thank them warmly for this and for years of volunteering at CEATL. They will be missed! But we welcome their successors Zofia Szachnowska-Olesiejuk and Agnieszka Myśliwy, as well as the dozen new delegates who joined this year.
