This month the winners of the annual national Hristo G. Danov award for contribution to Bulgarian literary culture were announced. In the field of literary translation the award was given to Yana Bukova for her translation of Pythian odes by Pindar. The other nominees were Neva Micheva for her translations of Llamadas telefónicas by Roberto Bolaño, Sessanta racconti by Dino Buzzati, and Lezioni americane by Italo Calvino, and Rositza Tasheva for her translation of Les Mandarins by Simone de Beauvoir.
Joint letter to Members of the European Parliament on the impact of AI on the European creative community
As a new EU policy cycle is about to start, CEATL, together with 12 European and International organisations representing the voice of writers, translators, performers, composers, songwriters, screen directors, screenwriters, visual artists, journalists, and other creative workers, co-signed a joint letter to the newly-elected European Parliament.
