The Centre de Traduction Littéraire will be running the ninth themed workshop for literary translators at Château de Lavigny (http://www NULL.chateaudelavigny NULL.ch/), Switzerland, from 21 to 24 September 2017. This year’s theme will be translating literature for children and young-adults.

Five translators into French and five translators into German (from any source language) will have the opportunity to come together over three days to work on texts aimed at young readers. They will split into two groups according to target language, with each group being led by an experienced, qualified translator. This year, we will have the pleasure of working with Valérie Le Plouhinec for French and Tobias Scheffel for German.

Applications should be received by email or post by 2 July 2017. You will find all the information here (http://www NULL.unil NULL.ch/ctl/atelier).

The workshop is free of charge – meals and accommodation are covered by the CTL. Participants are responsible for their own travel costs; however, in cases of particular need, requests for travel funding may be made to the CTL, who will treat them on an individual basis.
