Having collected the first basic information about training for literary translation in European universities, and identified the universities concerned, our ‘Training for literary translation’ work group has entered the second stage of its research: the distribution of the questionnaire, now more detailed and targeted especially at public and private university teaching.

The work group will meet between 11 and 13 February 2011 at Budmerice Castle in Slovakia to assess the initial results of the survey and work on the programme of the ‘Training’ round table during our next AGM and Prague Book Fair . The group will also address the question of the assessment of the work of students taking courses in literary translation.
