Literature Ireland (https://www NULL.literatureireland NULL.com/) brings the finest of Irish literature in the best possible literary translations to readers around the world. It does this by awarding translation grants to publishers, by hosting literary translators in Ireland, and by representing Irish writers at international events, book fairs and festivals.

Literature Ireland seeks applications from literary translators from Spain for a residential bursary in Ireland from 20 May – 8 June 2020. The bursary will be awarded to a practising literary translator who is working on the translation into Spanish of a work of contemporary Irish literature. Travel, living expenses and accommodation costs will be covered by Literature Ireland. The successful candidate will be asked to work on their translation-in progress, to immerse themselves in Ireland’s rich cultural life and to familiarise themselves fully with trends in contemporary Irish literature.
