There was an excellent turnout at the Laboratorio Formentini in Milan on 16 February for talks by four young translators and two publishers, providing an introduction to the profession. Topics covered included how to get into the world of professional translation, the do’s and don’ts of introducing yourself to publishers, the importance of training courses, and how to write a good CV.
