At the Writers’ Stage of the 31st Slovenian Book Fair, the Slovenian Association of Literary Translators awarded the 2015 Radojka Vrančič Prize to Andreja Kalc for Poskus sobe, the translation of a Russian novel by Marina Tsvetaeva [English title: An attempt to construct a room]. The translation was published by KUD Zrakogled, the Cultural and Art Association from Koper.

The prize includes a scholarship of approximately 1500 Euros from the Public Lending Right budget. The prizewinning translator will also be interviewed in major newspapers, national radio and possibly on television. The prize is named after the famous Slovenian translator of Proust, and is awarded annually to a young and promising translator under the age of 35.
