The British Centre for Literary Translation (BCLT) is hosting two free events marking what would have been the 75th birthday of its founder, W.G. Sebald, and coinciding with the exhibition “W.G. Sebald: Far Away – But From Where?”, which opens at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts on 11 May.

The first, “Translating W.G. Sebald”; is a round-table discussion between invited European translators of Sebald, chaired by Daniel Hahn. This first event is also being held under the aegis of CEATL, which has its AGM in Norwich from 8 – 12 May.

The round-table discussion will take place on Friday 10 May 2019, 5-6.30 pm, at the Julian Study Centre Lecture Theatre, University of East Anglia, Norwich.
